The furniture might seem a bit big in this picture for this open concept cottage, but once you sit and gaze out over the ocean, it all comes together in a very cozy atmosphereThe walls were painted a soft mint color and the leather furniture is a light grey. The drapes are sheer white, to let lots of light in and to keep the cottage feel of easy/breezy.
All the double beds have new patch quilts with new pillows. I wanted to keep the "country" feel.
Laminate floor was cost effective, clean, and durable. It worked for me, and my guests like it too. Not too dark and not too light. I tried to pick a "sand" color for most of the cottages, after all, we are right on the beach.
